The Craft Shop

To all Washington DC, Suburban Maryland, Northern Virginia buyers looking for a dealer of Henkel-Harris, Statton, Hickory Chair, and other fine furniture... We know that several large retail stores in our area that carry these fine lines are in bankruptcy or going out of business. We want to let everyone know that we have been here for a very stable 59 years and have been carrying the best furniture lines all that time-- we are very picky on the quality we carry. We also have lots of vintage solid wood lines too , such as Henkel-Harris from the 1950's and 60's We have never advertised. Please come visit us- and ask us for what you need- our warehouse holds oodles more than we ever can ever showcase on our showroom floor-(We regret we cannot do price quotes via phone or the internet)

Directions: The Craft Shop is located directly across Route 355, South Frederick Avenue, from Gaithersburg High School. We have our own very long brick building that sits very close to 355. There is ample shaded, paved parking (2 acres worth) on the side and back of the building. Our building is sited between an accountant's office building to the north, and the Shopping Center to the south.
The Craft Shop is a one-of-a-kind home furnishings and lifestyle store. Have you ever shopped by a roaring fire? The front room features a working reproduction of a Williamsburg fireplace, which roars and crackles with a real wood fire most of the year! Would you believe we still sell penny candy for a penny? It's true! And we have a nice little toy table for the kids to play while Mom and Dad or Grandmom and Granddad shop away. The store features everything from period antiques to more modern antiques to high-end reproductions. The inventory changes constantly as we get new loads in virtually daily. You'd be surprised at how big the store is, too -- over 12,000 square feet of merchandise. If you are looking for furniture, be sure to ask to have someone take you to the attic! A very limited amount of interior design and historical architectural consulting is accepted each year for both residential and commercial clients.

Here is just a SAMPLING of some of the lines we carry... And guess what? In 64 years, we have never advertised. It is all word-of-mouth business. Come join the happy and loyal customers who have discovered our store...
